Francesco Scala is the latest member of the Scala family to care for family vineyard operations spanning over two centuries. Having made the necessary viticulture improvements to attain certified organic recognition in 2016, Francesco is just beginning to understand the potential of Cirò’s native varieties; Gaglioppo, Magliocco, and Greco Bianco (different from the Campania clone). Located in the heart of the Mediterranean, the wines are highly expressive of their origin. Expect salinity from the sea and fruit that feels sun kissed, balanced by zesty acidity. Not to be left out, the wines also gain so much sophistication with age as well.
